The Marketing and Communication Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing, advertising, and communication programs to increase fish consumption throughout Namibia. The role involves managing brand identity, coordinating public relations activities, and overseeing digital marketing channels to align with the Trust's strategic goals.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting the nutritional benefits of fish and ensuring that the NFCPT's message reaches diverse communities across the country.
assignment Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual marketing and communication plans.
- Manage the organization's corporate identity and brand standards across all media.
- Coordinate promotional events, regional fish festivals, and community outreach programs.
- Oversee social media platforms and website content management.
- Prepare press releases, newsletters, and annual reports in collaboration with management.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and public engagement.
- Liaise with external agencies for creative production and media buying.
verified Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations (NQA Level 7).
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a corporate marketing or communications environment.
- Proven experience in digital marketing and social media management tools.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Valid Driver's License (Code B) and willingness to travel extensively within Namibia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design software.
